Hijab can be named as one of the fundamental cultures in Iran. It is not only used as a wear for men and women, but a curtain to keep the private space of houses from the eyes of the others.

Windows are part of the structures to make kind of connection between the spaces inside and outside. A hole inside the walls to give one the possibility, to see or to be seen. By the way curtains have a contradictory role in this culture, where this fear of being observed by others meets the excitement of one, observing someone else’s privacy.

This series of photographs presents this complicated culture of people, trying to save the virginity of their private life, while carry the lust of sighting lives of the others. An obvious contradiction in an undetermined cycle.
